Honestly though, how many of you even knew they were still making this thing?

I want an AWD Q70 and I don’t know why

I did. Very nice car to drive, outclassed by everything it competes with :(

I was actually considering one but found more used examples of the G. It’s more comfortable, spacious and has some options the G doesn’t . Very reliable but that’s because the platform engine and infotainment is ancient.

You could almost say it was Good idea At The Time but no longer :)

It’s a Nissan. I assume everything they’ve designed in the last 20 years is still in production.

I know everyone K icks them when they’re down but h oping they turn over a new L eaf and chase new F rontiers soon. They need a Titan of the industry , a real Pathfinder to lead them into t he future .

Still is a good idea :) Th e M56x is the one to get.

They’re too busy going Rogue, trying to get the Maxima life out of every design.

My boss has one, every time he visits my office (ca. on ce a month) I momentarily remember that Nissan still makes them.

Im still confused about what the Q40/50/60/70 differences even are. It made sense when it was the G35 and G37 coupe and sedans. I love the way the VQ engine sounds and still kind of have a soft spot for the 35/37 coupes. When they changed to Q it no longer made any sense. I have rented a Q40 on Turo, was a good cruiser for that road trip. Made the 8 hours each way mostly highway enjoyable. Was a relatively forgettable car to some degree though, just felt like an uptrim nissan. I have also rented a Maxima before and found that to be equivalent.

I can think of 240 reasons why I hate this.

Agreed. I drive an m35 and love everything about it a decade on, but the infotainment does suck. Otherwise very comfy ride. Ceiling liner is starting to sag a bit, that's it

In Oz, they simply axed the entire brand...

I am shocked that the brilliant strategy of changing the entire outdated model lineup to “Q” names failed to dominate the market. Shocked.

I own a ‘17. Everything mentioned is absolutely true. Outdated. Outclassed. Long in the tooth. You know what though? For an obviously small crowd, this thing works.
This size vehicle is a dying breed. As a result, most manufacturers, especially Infiniti, are willing to deal. We got an amazing deal on a long wheelbase model & haven’t had one issue in the two years we’ve owned it.

axing the Q70?
they axed the brand entirely here in Australia and NZ

The only issue is they make so few of them overall, finding the V8, especially with certain options, is very difficult. Plus, like I commented on elsewhere, I’d assume dealers aren’t going to play ball as much.

I think the last time I saw one was when I went to the Infiniti dealer

Gee, the Maxima version of the Infiniti followed the death of the Maxima itself. Another compromise of a car that never found its market due to an identity crisis.
They weren’t bad, but they didn’t belong anywhere and the market impact proved it.
I know that Maximas were FWD btw but regardless of orientation I recommend knowing yourself

Really? I got 350 at the very least.

I would get one of these, swap them all with Mitsubishi badges and watch the confused faces of people.

This size vehicle is a dying breed.
The new shitty CT 5 looks pretty much the same size:
Come to think about it, Infiniti and Cadillac. Both were under Johan De Nysschen at some point. Coincidence? I think not...

DATS UN derestimating it.
